Wedding Song is a piece for solo flute written for my sister Shellie and her husband François Minaux. It was first performed by François on their wedding day and has since been performed at other family events. A highly personal work that calls for a pure tone and clear, uncomplicated interpretation, Wedding Song is a fitting end to this recording – like a small piece of chocolate at the end of a meal. It is a song written for my family to be performed on the instrument which means a great deal to us.
